From 2014 to 2015 Paulo Jacobo Alonso studied at the University of Rennes 2 France. He is a member of the National System of Creators FONCA 2020 - 2023 in the discipline of Sculpture. Beneficiary of the Young Creators FONCA program 2016-2017. Professor in the Bachelor of Arts and Design at UNAM, ENES Morelia. In 2017 he was invited to the Summer Artists in Residence Program at Building Bridges Art Exchange, Los Angeles CA, USA and in 2015 he did a residency at ARTELES Creative Center, Haukijärvi, Finland. 

He has participated in different exhibitions in Mexico, Finland, The United States, England, Hungary, Italy, France, Portugal, Poland, Spain, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Republic of South Korea, Malaysia and China. His work has been shown recently at the “International Fiber Art in Pittsburgh”, USA 2022, at the “International Textile Biennial”, Belgium 2022, at the “XXXI Miniartextil Rosa Alchemico”, Italy 2022, at “Fiber Options: Material explorations”, USA 2022, at “The Fine Arts Textile Award”, UK 2022, at the “35th Annual Material: Hard+Soft”, USA 2022, at the “International Baltic Mini Textile Gdynia”, Poland 2022, at “Casa Decor”, Spain 2022, at the “Bank of Mexico Museum”, Mexico 2022, at the ““83rd International Exhibition of Plastic Arts”, Spain 2022, among others. 

His work is part of the Bugatti-Segantini Collection, Italy. Museum of Angers, France, LUMEN Collection, Mexico. Bank of Mexico Collection, Leopoldo Flores University Museum, Mexico. Fengxian Museum Collection, Shanghai, China. Corporate DCOOP Collection, Spain, and Homeira Goldstein Collection, USA. His work has received an Honorable Mention at Fiber Options: Material Explorations, in Maryland, United States, at the Cheongju International Biennale, in the Republic of South Korea. In addition, awarded in the International Open Art Contest, Mexico, in the FiberArt International, in Pittsburgh, United States, Career Award in Performance on paper in Lucca, Italy, among others.
