About
Helen Beard (b.1971) Born in Birmingham, Helen studied at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design before going on to develop a fifteen-year career as an assistant art director in the film industry. Exploring and celebrating the erotic experience, using a vibrant colour palette and brushstrokes ‘like the touch on skin’, her work evokes a landscape of intimacy in its use of bold and abstract forms.

Since 2000, she has exhibited in numerous group shows including ‘True Colours’ at Newport Street Gallery in 2018 and the solo shows: ‘It’s Her Factory’ at UNIT London (2019), and ‘The Desire Path’, Reflex Amsterdam (2020). Her work is collected internationally and has sold at auction in the US and UK.
