With a career spanning over half a century, David Bailey is considered one of the pioneers of contemporary photography and one of the most prolific portraitists of recent times. Bailey rose to fame in the 1960s, making stars of a new generation of models including Shrimpton. Since then his work has never failed to impress and inspire critics and admirers alike, capturing iconic images of legends such as Andy Warhol, the Kray twins, and Mickey Rourke.
