The Best Art Vinyl Award is awarded to the best record cover design of the year.
The award is open for entries which are reviewed by the Art Vinyl Selection Panel. The panel select 50 finalists that are put to a public vote in November. The winner is announced the following January.
This year, the 2019 finalists will be exhibited alongside The Auction Collective's Lend Your Ears + Open Your Eyes auction at the Lazarides Gallery (28 October - 1 November).
What records can be submitted?
Only records released in 2019 on the 12” vinyl format can be put forward for the award.

What if the record is released after the deadline?
If the record is scheduled for release after October 2019, then send a digital image of the final design to firstname.lastname@example.org.
How much does it cost to enter?
Nothing - the competition is free to enter. To help Art Vinyl run multiple exhibitions across several locations in the future, the winner is asked to provide seven copies of the record for them to use.
What does the winner receive?

Can I enter the Award and the Lend Your Ears + Open Your Eyes auction?
Yes, the original artwork used for the cover can be submitted to The Auction Collective's open call. If selected, it will then be exhibited and auctioned, with the sale proceeds going to the artist. See here for more details.
