Ian McChesney is an artist and architect. He studied at Kingston University and the Royal College of Art. His work has been commissioned by the UK's most prominent landowners, architects, local authorities and developers. These include Chatsworth House, Argent, Derwent London, The Crown Estate, King's Cross Partnership and the University of Plymouth. 

This work forms part of a collection of recent paintings made while travelling to some of the remotest parts of the UK. In contrast to Ian's ordinary life in London, these places contain very few signs of human existence - just raw landscape. Ian paints outdoors, at speed, capturing the essence of the place; the fleeting moment in time.
