Notes

Jade Pearl is an abstract creative designer & artist, international model and UAL Chelsea College of Arts alumnus. She is multifaceted and commits to expressing all forms of creativity within her work. Her work is all about the empowerment of people, incorporating chromotherapy and affirmations into her work. Whilst she loves to design garments, currently her main areas of work are in digital art, illustration, hand-crafted art, brand collaborations, murals, panel talks and creative/art direction.

Jade has worked in collaboration with Will Smith and with brands such as Southern Comfort, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Christian Louboutin, Levi’s, Marc Jacobs, Diesel, Nike, Reebok, and Footlocker, among others. Jade is also in the process of developing and releasing her fashion brand Jade Pearl.

Art is Freedom was created especially for the Make Art Not War auction.

“Art has always been a chance for human beings to express truth through their own eyes. The state of the world is such where our eyes are often fixated on the surface. Anything from skin colour to stereotypes; from social media to social facades. When I create, I create from what I see beneath the surface; colours bright and beautiful, uplifting and happy, colours that represent well-being. When we focus on what lies beneath the surface, there – and only there – do we have hope for restoring unity, power and a sense of togetherness.”
