Irineu Destourelles is a visual artist working predominantly with moving-image, writing, drawing, and painting. His practice is underpinned by a speculative treatment of postcolonial identity as fragile, irrational, and ambivalent constructs. He was born in the Cape Verde islands and is based in Edinburgh.
