Notes

Drawing from the series Sorry that I crashed your party created in 2021 in Deptford, featuring gestural drawings on textured surfaced, made by drawing into a built-up layers of wax and mixture of pigments.
The title refers to personal circumstances of blending into a new but already known environment and rooting into an existing community.

Karolina Glusiec is a multidisciplinary artist based in Deptford, south-east London, whose practice emerges from drawing and animation branching out into mixed media, structural and site specific objects and artworks. She is a prolific drawer, viewing drawing as a gestural non-verbal way of communication.
