An acrylic and stitched textile work on canvas, Trevaylor clovers is a work that communicates the fragmented story of Ali Corder's past written work.
"I’ve been working on a large scale for the last few years so as this piece was relatively small, it took a while to scale down. It was actually really nice to have these limits and the piece feels uncluttered and simple, I’m now working on a series of smaller works because of this piece".
Folktales, morals and old wives’ tales, overheard stories and the proverbial wisdom of the superstition are the pro dominant themes and interests that are common through Ali's work.
“There’s a real beauty in stories handed down from generation to generation, words of advice as we make the same mistakes, repeat the same heartbreaks and share the same love and joy”. - Ali Corder, 2020.
