In 2015 Miranda was awarded the ArtSlant Showcase Winner award. Miranda has exhibited extensively in London as well as New York, Brazil, Italy, Cyprus and Japan. She has recently completed two solo exhibitions in Rome and London (2017). In 2018 Miranda was awarded the Saatchi Gallery Young Artist Award (Fine Art).

When talking about this work, Miranda explained: "I wanted to create something that was both sickly and sweet. Both lush and disgusting. Tempting to touch yet also repellent. Something sticky yet smooth. Sartre once used a metaphor of a fly that was so tempted by the sweet and seductive nature of honey, it consequently plunged itself into the honey and caused its own death. Sartre was referring to the fly as a man and the honey as a woman. Crimson Tart tries to play on and pull apart this metaphor. She is part human part cake. She is just like a cake in the sense you really do want to eat and consume her, but you know that you probably shouldn’t."
