Notes

ean Dack is a multidisciplinary artist living in New York City. Working in a number of creative realms including photography, sound, sculpture, installation, video, sound design and digital media, his work explores society's relationship to technology and the rapidly increasing speed of contemporary life in the early 21st Century.

Undertaking numerous exhibitions in the contemporary art world as well as work for high end luxury brands including Dior Homme, Sephora and Prada, promotional photography, music videos and live tour visuals, as well as freelance work and features in media outlets such as: Vice Media, Dazed and Confused, Nowness, XLR8R, Thump, ArtNews, Resident Advisor, Ran$om Note, Spin, Tsugi Magazine and more.

In Dack's work the medium is as important and often relates to the content in specific ways, while each work is a varied state of speculative time mapping hovering in the binary between the virtual and the physical.

His broad skill-set utilizes many different ways of approaching a project allowing an openness to many potential possibilities using a foundation of hybrid vigor and broad knowledge of creative tools.

Ben Street, art writer and critic, says of this work, " Sean Dack’s work operates within that murky territory of photographic unfaithfulness, taking as its source images that really ought to co-operate, like CCTV footage."

This work was ehibited in Ghost Hardware at Daniel Reich Gallery, New York in 2008 and Paper with the Saatchi Gallery in 2013.
