Abstract: Reality (73/74)

Notes

Jason Brinkerhoff describes his work as “constrained by a single form—the female.” His figures appear from multiple angles and in varied poses and are united by his abstracted, fluid line. Seemingly half-finished, half-realised drawings, his work is an exploration of, and on going dialogue with, the female form, one of the most time honoured subjects in the history of art.

Jason Brinkerhoff lives and works in Menlo Park, California. His work has been exhibited with White Columns (New York), Saatchi Gallery (London), Ampersand Gallery (Portland) and is included in the permanent collection of the Dallas Art Museum. He has had two solo exhibitions at ZieherSmith and this work was included in the Saatchi Gallery Paper exhibition in November 2013.
