Aleph Contemporary for AccessArt
19 NOVEMBER 2021 - 17 DECEMBER 2021Notes
Thoughts of Van Gogh and Heidegger passed my mind as I painted these boots of a friend who was staying, but what was most intriguing to me was the leftover traces of human presence, both in the muddy boots, but also in the watering can and spray bottle encrusted in lime plaster from when we re-rendered the front of the house.
Ruth is interested in the relationship between humans and the material world: how we shape matter, write meaning into it, and are shaped by it.
