Art on a Postcard (AoaP) is delighted to announce the final mini auction of 2022 which is in collaboration with the art gallery and exhibition app, gowithYamo. gowithYamo’s Nathalie Brough has picked over twenty artists who are currently on her radar, including K Blick, Lee Johnson, Lisa Wright and Maayan Sophia Weisstub. Proceeds from this auction will go to The Hepatitis C Trust and their campaign to eliminate hepatitis C in the UK by 2030.
Amongst the featured artists are Karen Turner, an award-winning Suffolk-based artist whose work focuses on the scrutiny around the physical body; London-born sculptor Wilfrid Wood, who is the man behind some of the legendary Spitting Image puppets, a job he landed after graduating from Central St Martins; and Felicitas Aga, based between Germany and England, whose practice engages critically with genres of still life and portraiture. AoaP fans will be pleased to see Lisa Wright among the line up, whose nature adorned figures are big AoaP favourites.
Among the talent there are many emerging artists including Joshua Donkor, a Ghanian British portrait painter whose practice subverts the monolithic portrayals of Black identity; Gabrielle-Aimée Séguin, a current RCA MA student whose work has previously been shortlisted for the Chaiya Art Awards; and Matilda Sutton, a London-born artist whose practice oscillates between painting, sculpture and texture.
