Art Aid Ukraine

Born in Leeds in 1951, Peter Webster studied at Leeds and Cardiff Colleges of Art before obtaining a Master of Fine Art degree from Reading University in 1976. He held the post of Senior Lecture in Fine Art at the University of Falmouth for 26 years and maintained his own studio throughout that time. This painting is part of a series exploring the relationships between words and images.  It originated from overhearing one end of a mobile phone conversation.  The imagined answer to the question (of the title) touches on the difficulty of maintaining normal everyday relationships in Ukraine.
