Art For Relief
05 MARCH 2021 - 26 MARCH 2021Notes
"I often climb Glastonbury Tor. The views from the top are spectacular. I leave feeling calmer, trying to take the feeling of open space home with me to the city.
I am a Bristol-based printmaker. I was born in Derbyshire and after completing a photography degree at Nottingham Trent University went on to study an MA in Interactive Multimedia at Bath Spa University where I began to explore the use of digital drawing. All contour lines in my work are hand drawn digitally before being transferred to the screen printing frame. Although my work began by studying man-made forms within the landscape I am now primarily inspired by natural contours and the formation of land and water, using maps as a starting point of reference. My work is a celebration of nature’s raw and delicate beauty. All of my screen prints are unique, one-off experimental pieces.
