Art for Ukraine

Dark Water 1 is part of a new series of work building on Raffael Bader’s fascination with nature and the elemental forces that shape it. This is often characteristic of his landscapes in which a vision of nature, although abstract, reveals familiar forms, to evoke a mood that is both sensual and slightly ominous. Key to his work is an attempt to capture how in nature, like, in our own human society seemingly contradictory elements can come together to form order in chaos. 

Raffael Bader is a Visual artist who graduated in 2019 from the Academy of Fine Arts, Leipzig, Germany. In 2020, he received the Denkzeit grant from the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony. That same year, he began exhibiting internationally, including in Switzerland and the USA.
