Art for Ukraine

‘Narrative is central to my work, it has threaded through my drawing and painting practice since the 1970’s. Maryclare Foá works explore narratives connecting the seen, the sensed and the dreamed and she especially created the three works in this auction for the ART FOR UKRAINE sale with the hope to help those suffering in Ukraine. 

Maryclare Foá graduated from City and Guilds, London, 1980; the Royal College of Art, London, 1984; Central Saint Martins, London, 2004 and completed her PhD, Sounding Out: Drawing in response to the outside environment, at Camberwell, University of Arts London, 2011.  Mo co-authored  Performance Drawing (Bloomsbury 2020) & teaches drawing at UAL (CSM). Her works have been exhibited in a number of exhibitions such as A History of Drawing Camberwell Space (2018), TBW Drawing prize 2020, RA Summer show 2021 and can be seen in Drawing Now: Between the Lines of Contemporary Art (I.B. Tauris 2007) and Hyperdrawing (I.B. Tauris 2012).
