Art for Ukraine
01 APRIL 2022 - 25 APRIL 2022Notes
Oriele Steiner’s work explores a wide array of painting techniques and processes, using colour and light as the dominant means of experimentation. She is interested in the palette’s ability to evoke emotions, whether through its exclusivity or or a juxtaposition and the creation of chromatic dissonance. Steiner’s compositions are derived from her very ‘British’ sense of humour - simultaneously comical and dark.
Oriele Steiner (b. 1993, London, England) holds a BA in Fine Art from Brighton University (2015). In 2016, she was selected for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries show, and has subsequently received the New Contemporaries and The Royal Standard bursaries. Steiner is currently working towards her MFA at the Slade School of Art in London.
