About 

Paul lives and works in the north of Scotland. Inspired by the magic of folklore and characterised by a warm, muted palette and aged plasterwork layering, reminiscent of fresco painting, narrative threads are woven around the interactions between Paul’s anthromorphised figures, in a world free from the boundaries of time and culture.

Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork   

I wanted to try to capture the innocence of childhood in these little cat portraits. Wide eyed, inquisitive, bewildered and vulnerable. Friends, looking at each other for comfort and companionship.
