Hetty Douglas b. 1992 Sheffield, England. Currently London based. Hetty is a self taught queer artist, working predominantly in acrylic painting but often using other mediums such as cement, oil, and ink. Taking inspiration from her self proclaimed complex childhood, and adulthood, Hetty creates work that explores fluidity and the multiplicity of individual identity. Hetty has exhibited in many group shows in London, New York, and Los Angeles. She achieved her first solo show “Flooded” at Gallery Steinsland Berliner in Stockholm in 2022 and a second solo show “Baby Names” post-residency at SAC downtown, Los Angeles in 2023, she welcomes her next solo in Catskills, New York with Mott Projects in the summer of 2024. hettydouglas.com @hettydouglas
