About
Graduating from Slade School of Art, Aimée Henderson makes beautifully delicate forms through drawing, painting and collage. A repetition of marks and splashes of colour sit against a wash of natural tones to create subtle textures across the work. Her work comes from a quiet and sensitive place where she tries to be absolutely present and free of thought to allow as little of 'herself' into the work. Lilacs, burnt oranges, lemon yellows, surly sulks of dirty pink, colour is her powerful ally, abstract shapes give form to events or happenings on the surface of the paper.
