Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
One of the postcards shows a drawing of a woman standing with her long hair flowing all around her body, as a symbol of fortitude and power. Recalling the many depictions of Mary Magdalene in the history of painting, this figure feels no shame or guilt, both a sinner and a saint. The round shape above her, both moon and sun, is a reminder of the of immensity of nature and time.
