Art on a Postcard Winter Auction, Lots 401-520
04 NOVEMBER 2021 - 25 NOVEMBER 2021Notes
About
My work presents a chimerical world haunted by figures and animals. I seek in my paintings to explore the desire and disquietude of the human experience through my own experience of living as a gay man both in the heart of the city and more recently in rural isolation.
Education
I am a graduate of the Slade School of Fine Art. I am currently part of Turps Art School’s mentor programme.
Select Exhibitions/Awards
In 2019 I showed two paintings at the Royal Academy Summer Show. In 2020 I showed three paintings in the Discerning Eye Show. In 2020 I was long listed for the Jackson Painting Prize and shortlisted for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries. In 2021 I showed four paintings in “Queer as Folklore” at Gallery 46 in Whitechapel and four paintings in “Burra and Friends” at Rye Art Gallery in Rye.
Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
