L’opinione di Galloni. Entriamo in un registro dai toni più scuri: le vigne di Grinzane Cavour. Quindi frutti più scuri, molte spezie, cuoio, tabacco, cedro e anche tannini piuttosto intensi, in un vino che oggi ha un bell’equilibrio. È sicuramente un vino strutturato, sempre un Barolo classico ma declinato in uno stile di medio corpo. Intensità, potenza, ma senza un peso eccessivo. Un po’ cupo, ma questo aggiunge un tocco di mistero al vino. Si mostra molto promettente.

Galloni’s opinion. We’re moving into a darker register of the vineyard here in Grinzane Cavour. So darker fruit, lots of spice, leather, tobacco, cedar, pretty big tannins as well, but the wine has beautiful balance today. This is defi nitely a structured wine. But in that medium bodied style sort of classic Barolo again. Intensity, power, but without excess of weight. A little bit sombre, but that just adds to the wines its mystery. It is showing very well today.
