Holly is a visual and performing artist from London, England. Her works in blood explore power, hypnagogia, and the constant sensation of longing. In channeling through this medium she connects to her inner strength, duality and feral psyche. As a multidisciplinary artist, dancing and writing poetry in addition to painting, she intends to create a holistic body of work, with each practice informing the other.  

A piece about the uncomfortable truths which emerge from the dissolution of a chaotic marriage and the disillusion which follows. I had been drained of vitality and hope by the man I had been with, yet was still constantly defined by them, long after having walked away. 

After years of living in the shadows, a prisoner of presumptions, and warped realities...I realised, I was the commodity all along. It was a realisation as unfettering and empowering as it was tragic. The self portrait was taken in a period of darkness and found its rightful place here in this piece, transmuted.
