"I asked a few dads what pressure they feel and the most common answers were being the breadwinner, doing DIY, needing to know about “stuff” and it made me think how much we expect of dads and men in general. I wanted to combine the softness of embroidery- traditionally a “women’s hobby” - with these statements. We just want dads to be happy but it’s a bit hard when so much is expected of them."
