Notes
“A kitsch re-imagination of the clichéd Father's Day card. The spanner cracks under the pressure of toxic masculinity, allowing flora to blossom after being held dormant for so long. An almost post-apocalyptic growth that we can all hope for and work towards.”
Maggie Williams is a British-Chinese artist based at the Lewisham Arthouse. Williams’ practice is based on themes surrounding cultural identity and the effects of second-generation diaspora.
