Help Ukraine: Without Reserve
18 MARCH 2022 - 28 MARCH 2022Notes
Much of my work is inspired by folk art, this piece references the work of Ukrainian folk artist Maria Primachenko. It is called live like flowers from a Maria Primachenko quote “I draw sunny flowers because I love people, I create for joy, for happiness for people, so that all peoples love each other, so that they live like flowers throughout the earth.”
I use hands a lot in my work as a symbol of connection as for me that is what all forms of art is about, connecting to each other, at this time it is more important that ever.
Current work showing at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, Penzance.
