Beryl Odette is an artist born and based in Los Angeles, descended from survivors of slavery and The Holocaust. Her work — luringly aesthetic, and mesmerizingly beautiful — ranges from classically formal oil on canvas to site-specific installations and video work. Exploring multiple mediums and celebrating abnormal materials, she presents an intangible sense of discomfort within the beauty of the work.
