Life on Venus III | The Organic, Timed Auction

"My work focuses on layered looking, sustained meditations on held moments; that build narrative. I work predominantly in pastels, charcoal, ink & gouache paint.

I was introduced to drawing from film at the Royal Drawing School, and extended this practice to drawing from theatre and live performances in long unfurling concertina sketchbooks.

I am currently working on an extended graphic narrative work of large scale pastel drawings and Oulipo inspired poems. It is my ambition to collate these as a graphic novel inspired by love stories during our Covid times. I am exploring what it is to love in captivity, and how to foster intimacy in isolation; together and apart.
