Life on Venus | The Landscape, Timed Auction

Lying between abstraction and figuration I feel that my work depicts sensation, with rhythm, colour, and texture dominating my decision-making. There is an emphasis on movement and pattern and that which veers off from the expected. When recognisable forms and symbols do arise they are often dreamlike. It is as if a scene is unfolding as one runs down the street, witnessing small happenings of the lives of strangers. The archetypal subject, to me, speaks more of the tensions and fluxes of a life, rather than an object or person in particular.
