Notes

Reuben D is an up-and-coming expressionist street artist who has started to translate his style and characters onto canvases, found objects and sculptures for gallery presentation. His wide-ranging influences span modern urban contemporary artists such as RYCA & Stik; pop artist Keith Haring; Neo-Expressionist Basquiat; and De Stijl master Mondrian. Much of his work comes from his unique character and energy and an impulsive need to create and express himself whenever and wherever - whether via bus windows in traffic, flower pots, pianos, record sleeves and vinyls, or on canvas.

Reuben’s more contemplative work delves into his mixed cultural heritage of being Black and Jewish. His autism gives his artistic exploration a sense of necessity, urgency, and authenticity.
