Mesmerism: North Coast Asylum curates

Jo is a multidisciplinary artist working directly from life, mark-making directly onto paper with either her hands or the medium itself. Having worked predominantly in monochrome, she recently moved to colour and looser lines following the birth of her daughter. Her work draws on the colour and shapes of the natural environment, specifically wildflowers and the composition and colours that intertwine. Having worked mostly in black and white for her career, Jo’s sketchbooks have always been a haven of colour, she has recently moved to give this more space and light, inspired more than ever by colour and texture she is surrounded by. Jo sells work internationally, including at Christie’s Auction House, and has worked on campaigns with brands such as Volcom.
