Out of the Margins

We are thrilled that Tony Kushner has said yes to take part in the Out of the Margins auction, in support of our work with refugee artists. Our final playwright to take part, Tony signed up just before the auction went live, and so we have given him the time and space to choose the play he wants to annotate, and then of course to delve into his memories, reflections and current thoughts whilst annotating it, in amongst his very busy schedule. We are hoping to announce the play and share exclusive interior shots soon. Watch this space! Tony Kushner is among the few playwrights in history nominated for an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony. His groundbreaking two-part, eight-hour Angels in America became a theatrical landmark on its Broadway debut in 1993, as well as a major TV hit for HBO. As well as the mastermind behind countless plays and musicals, including The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism And Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures, and Caroline, Or Change, Tony Kushner has also written film scripts for Steven Spielberg, including Lincoln, Munich and most recently The Fabelmans.
