Rebuilding Beirut with Pride
10 OCTOBER 2021 - 30 OCTOBER 2021Notes
Elliot Fox (b.1991) based in London. His work explores themes of language and meaning through painting and sculpture. Through the repetition of visual and verbal iconography, often sourced from alternative means of communication. Conventional linguistic structures are supplanted by a personal narrative through imagery. The natural is represented by means of floral depictions, referencing his rural Cornish upbringing as well as an organic antithesis to the industrial influence evident in his work. Humanity’s relationship with nature, industry and technology converges through the wider investigation of Britain but more exclusively West Cornwall's recent and ancient histories.
