Notes
Nadia Attura, a Postgraduate in Photojournalism from The London College of Printing, was selected for The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2016 where all 75 editions of her work sold out. Nadia is including two works in the Sea-Fever auction: Lot 1, Monterey Green and Lot 36, Amalfi Orange.
Inspired by mid-century graphics, Monterey Green documents jellyfish moving along the Californian coastline as part of the artist's ongoing underwater portfolio. To achieve the archival effect, and accentuate the colours of these mysterious creatures, Nadia mixed the original photograph with paint and washes continually reworking it to create the final print we see before us now.
