Sea Anemones (like Azure Light) is from a series of ‘underwater’ abstract paintings by the Dorset based artist, Gerry Dudgeon.
Inspired by the colours and textures beneath the surface of the Aegean Sea, the Camberwell School of Art alumni produced a series of work that captures the rich blues and flickering light in the Mediterranean water around the Greek Islands of Tilos and Amorgos.
In Sea Anemones, the artist conveys the depth of the sea and underwater movement of light through a round stretcher. It accentuates the perspective and encourages the viewer’s gaze deep into the heart of the sea's underwater ecosystem.
