“My current work stems from a desire for reshaping landscape painting and considering what it means in the 21st century. The view I see before me has flowers cracking through brickwork and tarmac channels running through cement. Utility companies neon spray paint littering all types of surface and the sun burning down on blistered paint. My paintings use and manipulate these ‘accidental' systems and explore the balances of choice, symmetry and space with a nostalgic haze ever present.” - Cab Kenningale, 2023.
