“Living and working beside the ocean is intuitive and gentle. To me, the process of working by hand is meditative and brings clarity in the studio. Paintings and prints are formed from smaller drawings with tone and composition in mind, mixing soft colour palettes and studying the simple shapes of the coastline. Each collection changes a little as we move through the seasons, noticing the warmer hues of sea, softness of cliffs, colours that inspire me to make from something in this landscape.”
