Terrence Higgins Trust - 2022, Timed Auction

Aubrey Laret lives and works in London. As well as being an award winning Art Director and Graphic  Designer, Laret has exhibited at The Bloomsbury Art Fair, London Design Festival, and the Institute of Art in San Diego, California. His work is held in private and corporate collections.

Laret says: “In Nude in a landscape the male form is manipulated almost to the point of abstraction. I have tried to see how far I can remove the image from its source to create something independent of what it originally represented. The image is designed so that on first encounter it looks like a pleasing arrangement of flat colour and sensuous shapes and only by looking longer does it slowly reveal its original subject matter.”
