Created in the mid-2000s by an anonymous London artist, Pandemonia is a multi-media conceptual art project centred around a female motif. Pandemonia is a vessel for the artist to travel through society and pass through the media eye into the intersubjective world of myth and brand. Through art exhibitions and public interventions, Pandemonia has been absorbed by the media complex, appearing in print, film and major product advertisements to reach and affect public consciousness. Tangled Pair depicts the superposition of a pair of legs. Incorporating elements of the figure, Pandemonia considers the delicate system of being in two states at once – the contradictions between the Subatomic and Newtonian reality in Quantum mechanics point to reality as a constructed illusion.
