Notes
Chris Levine is a contemporary Canadian artist known for his multimedia pieces incorporating light, photography, music, and fashion. Levine studied at the Chelsea School of Art. He has collaborated with a number of musicians, including Grace Jones and Massive Attack. Along with his notable portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, he has also captured iconic images of Kate Moss and the Dalai Lama. He currently lives and works in Northamptonshire.
Commissioned in 2004 by the Island of Jersey, this stunning portrait was made by Levine with holographer Rob Munday, to commemorate the island’s 800- year allegiance to the Crown. From two sittings, a three-dimensional portrait was created, with over 10,000 images made. Equanimity is the first holographic portrait of the Queen.
