Janae Young is a contemporary artist based in Los Angeles, whose diverse body of work encompasses mixed media paintings, larger scale pieces with embedded objects, short films, and NFTs. Her artistic journey began early, winning contests at school and honing her skills as a young artist. After a brief hiatus, Janae decided to pursue art as a career, and her first group show in New York in 2017 was a resounding success. She followed this up with her first solo show in Los Angeles in 2018. 

Janae finds inspiration in her everyday life, drawing on landscapes, personal experiences, and the written word to create her unique and varied pieces. Her work reflects a wide range of styles and influences, from the raw and unpolished to the refined and intricate. Although she admires many artists who came before her, including Frida Kahlo, Janae prefers to focus on her own vision and creativity, striving to create something truly unique with each new project. Despite the many challenges that come with being an artist, Janae remains deeply committed to her craft, constantly pushing herself to explore new mediums and techniques. She sees art as a way to connect with others and share her perspective on the world, and her passion and dedication are evident in every piece she creates.
