Notes

This unique painting on paper is a vibrant example of Anna Freeman Bentley’s continuing exploration of the intangible quality of depopulated interior spaces, the baroque and her own evolving palette and practice as a contemporary painter.

This work featured in the 2020 exhibition ‘Collected and Composed’ at Frestonian Gallery – and was a part of the ‘Watching’ series, the principle large-scale canvas of which is now held in the Private Museum collection of the Ahmanson Foundation, California, USA
