New Romantic Places is Richard Galloway's new landscape drawings and prints. “I will search out a view where I think a moment has happened or will happen. A moment of thought, excitement and existential moment. A special place, the best vantage point to see an Elk, catch a fish, build a damn or skim a stone. A New Romantic Place.” - Richard Galloway, 2020.
In this work the black marks are printed with linocut and the white is printed with woodblock. Richard explains that “the result is what appears to be a delicate blue. It’s a trick on the eye with the wood grain.”
