The Sixteen Trust

George Stamatakis was born in Heraklion, Crete in 1979 and he graduated from the Painting department of Athens School of Fine Arts at D’ Panos Charalambous Lab in 2019, on his art studies including International Exchange program at Tokyo University of the Arts on Shinji Ohmaki sculpture Lab in 2018 and 2019 with Scholarship by Jasso Organization.

He held his first solo exhibition at the “Simeio” theatre in 2015. Since then, he has taken part in the 8th and 9th Biennale of the Athens School of Fine Arts Students in Greece at the State Museum of Contemporary Art and Nikos Kessanlis Exhibition Hall, he was a member of the Elective Affinities educational project of “Documenta 14”, where he also took part as a young artist. He has also participated in various group exhibitions internationally.
