Notes

A Feeling captures the moment when Spring finally arrives and with it comes colour and warmth.

This work is one of British Canadian artist, Georgia Hart’s, recent deviations from oil paint into acrylic, whilst still using her signature palette knife style, to bring texture in a way that is both deliberate and expressive.

Created in her south London studio, Georgia works from photos of places that resonate with her to create a composition, and then applies a colour palette from memory and the memory of particular sensations.

Georgia brings depth and a sense of space and distance to even her smallest landscapes, using the knife to create thick peaks of paint.
