The Top 100 - Timed Auction
31 MAY 2021 - 24 JUNE 2021Notes
Materiality is critical to Maddie Yuille's practice; she is interested in the transformation that occurs from digital to physical images, and how her use of materials can embody meaning.
Maddie's most recent work is concerned with the ambiguous depiction of touch between bodies in distress, and is based upon video footage filmed by ISIS of men captured during the Camp Speicher massacre of 2014.
Prior to pursuing her art practice, she completed a BA in Human Geography and worked in documentary production for a number of years – a background that informs her practice today.
