Mikey Mosher is an interdisciplinary artist from Massachusetts, currently based in Chicago. He holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Much of Mikey’s work is influenced by his undergraduate Religious Studies background. This academic study of comparative religion, as well as the religious history of New England allowed him to root his reflections on the relationship between religion, spirituality, indoctrination, and the history of American power structures in historical events that took place where he grew up. Growing out of a robust hand-cut collage practice, much of Mikey’s recent work revolves around the act of collecting and arranging objects, images, and materials in combination with design, woodworking, and digital fabrication.
